First semester exams will be held December 13-15, 2022. Second semester exams will be held May 22-24, 2023.

Exams will only be given in the core classes (Bible, English, History, Math, Science).

Exams may look a bit different depending on the subject and teacher, so please refer to each teacher for specifics.
The following general information pertains to all exams/students:

1). Grade Weighting: Because of this change our grade weighting will be as follows. The 1st Semester grade given in December will be Q1 = 40%, Q2 = 40%, Exam = 20%. Similarly the 2nd Semester grade given in May will be Q3 = 40%, Q4 = 40%, Exam = 20%.

2). "A" Exemptions (standard & honors level classes): Students who have earned an "A" average (90 or above) for Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 averaged together will be exempt from taking the semester exams for standard and honor level classes only. The purpose of this is to incentivize each student to do their very best throughout the semester. Additionally, we feel that if students earn a high average through the semester they have gained mastery of the necessary concepts.
***If your student is in an AP or Dual Enrollment level class the student will be required to take the semester exam even if they have an "A" average in the class. These classes are college level classes and are not exempt from exams.
