Summer Offerings
We are excited to announce that we will have 3 summer offerings this year for the students to enroll in at the OCS upper campus. Below are the courses, descriptions, and cost. This is a great way to get the required electives completed and keep room open in your schedule for additional classes and electives.
Personal Fitness 0.5 HS Credit – Taught by Mr. Ed Sloan
Personal Fitness is designed to help the student acquire knowledge of the human body so they can learn physical fitness concepts, understand the significance of a healthy lifestyle, and begin to develop an optimal level of personal fitness. This is a required physical education requirement for graduation.
Dates: June 5th - 16th, 2023
Times: 8:00am - 3:30pm
Cost: $300 per student
Maximum # of students: 20
Open to: Rising 8th - 12th
Personal Finance 0.5 HS Credit – Taught by Mr. Harry Price
The primary content for the course pertains to the study of learning the ideas, concepts, knowledge, and skills that will enable students to implement beneficial personal decision-making choices; to become wise, successful, and knowledgeable consumers, savers, investors, users of credit and money managers; and to be participating members of a global workforce and society. This course uses the Dave Ramsey Foundations curriculum. Beginning with the Class of 2027 this is a required course for graduation.

Open to: Rising 9th - 12th
Senior College Planning and Essay Camp – Led by Mrs. Barb More & Mr. Jimmy Kaufholz
Students will become familiar with all the tools and platforms used in the college application process. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to write their college essay (personal statement) and have it ready to go for their college applications. Students will not receive HS credit for this camp.

July 17th – July 20th, 2023
Times: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Cost: $200 per student
Maximum # of students: 15 per session
Open to: Class of 2024 (rising seniors)
