Middle School

A Message from OCS Middle School Principal

Middle School is a time when students begin their journey into becoming young adults. What would your journey look like if you were a middle school student at Orangewood?  God has called many gifted faculty to Orangewood to guide you through this next phase of your life. They will be your teachers, coaches, sponsors, and mentors. While it is expected that they will be competent and knowledgeable, these men and women are lovers of souls, or as one of my administrator friends says, they are the living curriculum. In short, they will not only teach you well, they will model what it is to be kind, patient, encouraging, sensitive, and caring while being firm and fair. Faculty will tell you many things, but they are eager to listen to you, come alongside you, get to know you, laugh with you, have fun with you, and encourage you to celebrate and use the talents which God has given to you.

In this next chapter of your life, relationships will become more and more important.  These relationships will be built on the values which have been established and modeled to you by your parents.  The importance of friends will continue to emerge along with your understanding of what it is to be a friend. Orangewood will provide you a safe and nurturing place in the context of small classes and in an overall educational environment that is distinctly Christian.

Want to learn more? Come and spend a day with our students and faculty. We think you will feel right at home. Experience the Orangewood difference!!

Sincerely,

Joseph R. Austin
