March 2022

Matthew Denney – Senior – Varsity Tennis – “Following in the footsteps of his older siblings, Matthew has been an important part of the tennis program at Orangewood for several years.  Now in his senior year, Matthew has taken on the role of a veteran leader, inspiring younger players, playing both singles and doubles and helping to set the pace in practice. We continue to be blessed to have Matthew playing for Orangewood.”  Head Varsity Tennis Coach, Ed Sloan

Bea Noyes – Junior – Varsity Track and Field – “Bea Noyes joined the Track & Field team last spring and immediately became a leader on our team. In the fall, she was part of our girls cross country team that made school history by being the first cross country team in Orangewood's history to qualify for the State Cross Country Championship Meet. Bea worked hard in the off season and in the first two pre-season meets she had already shattered the previous school record for the girls 400m with a time of 1:05. She daily exemplifies Christ in her humbleness and her kindness to her fellow athletes. It is also worth noting that Bea is not only a leader on the field but she is also a leader in the classroom; she is a member of the National Honor Society and Latin Honor Society.” Head Varsity Track & Field Coach, Elizabeth Lynn

October 2021

Sophie Benson – Senior – Varsity Volleyball – “Sophie is a senior RH/MB and is one of the varsity team captains this year.  She currently has over 80 kills and 20 blocks this season.  Her court leadership has been instrumental in the success of the Lady Rams Volleyball team this year!” Head Varsity Volleyball Coach, Diane Langmo

Darrien Williams – Sophomore – Varsity Football – “Darrien is the most improved player for Orangewood going back to Spring football. His play on the field has exceeded anything I have coached in recent years. He is a wonderful young man to coach and continues to perform at the highest level with everything that is asked of him." Head Varsity Football Coach, Carey Metts

November 2021

Lindsey St. Germain – Junior – Varsity Cheerleading – “Lindsey is a 2nd year captain and strives to lead by giving 100 percent at every practice and game.   She has demonstrated her ability to lead with an optimistic attitude and by encouraging her team to have spirit on and off the field. She consistently brings life to the team with her positivity, joy, and ability to be creative! Lindsey is a constant cheerleader for the cheerleaders as well as the football team!”  Head Varsity Cheer Coach, Stephanie Bennett

Cody Elias – Senior – Varsity Football – “Cody has been the glue that holds our team together.  He is a very competitive athlete and is passionate about his game.  He holds the rushing record for QB's at Orangewood and is closing in on 1000 yards passing as well.  He has made the 1st team FACA All District 11 (Ind, 1A-4A) All Star team as QB and is having a stellar year.  I could not be any prouder of this young man for how hard he has worked in the classroom and on the field. He is well deserving of this honor." Head Varsity Football Coach, Carey Metts
