Cultural Impact for Christ

Orangewood exists to prepare students to impact the culture for Christ.  Whether it is in the area of academics, fine arts or athletics, Biblical truth is at the heart of who we are at Orangewood.

Lower School Spiritual Life

Ram Roots

Ram Roots are the five core principles we use to help OCS Rams grow strong “roots.” These five areas shape how we teach truth in our classrooms, and Lower School students receive a dedicated lesson on each one every year.

Gospel Foundations

The 30 questions and answers that make up our Gospel Foundations form a strong foundation for our faith. Students memorize 10 each year, mastering each one twice before finishing Lower School.

Bible Families

Held about twice a month, our Bible Families include 10–14 mixed grade-level students. Siblings and cousins remain together, and groups stay consistent each year. Teachers follow provided lessons so the whole campus is aligned.

Lower School Chapel

Held monthly and led by Orangewood Church or School leadership, lower school chapel features a student-led worship song, a message with a related Bible verse, and it always begins with our school hymn.

Grade Level Chapel

Once a month, students attend chapel with their entire grade. A teacher or specials teacher leads, with occasional guest speakers.

Missionary Partners

Each grade partners with an Orangewood Church missionary and prays for them regularly during the year.
