Cultural Impact for Christ
Orangewood exists to prepare students to impact the culture for Christ. Whether it is in the area of academics, fine arts or athletics, Biblical truth is at the heart of who we are at Orangewood.

Our goal is to help each student grow in their walk with Christ as they study, understand and focus on God's Word to develop a Christian world and life view.

Lower School Bible Families

Bible families are often together from K4 - 6th grade. They pray with each other, sing together, and look for ways to encourage one another. Often this leads to a much closer relationship. Even when a child decides to ask the Lord into their heart, they often want to tell their Bible family first. Over time, they grow to love each other as a family. The youngest student looks to the older 5th and 6th graders as their role models and the older students develop leadership skills as they work together. Above all, they grow to love the Lord together and encourage one another in their spiritual journey.

Mrs. Milburn says:

"I love teaching the Bible to a small, close-knit group of K4-6th grade students who have grown into a family over the years. Every other week, we gather together to learn more about the Bible together. I feel privileged to witness their spiritual growth and be a part of their journey discovering the beauty and truth of the Bible"

Upper School Crew

Crew Facts

-Upper School has 58 Crews

-Crews meet bi-weekly

-Crew leaders are Middle School & High School Faculty, Administrators and Orangewood Church youth leaders

Upper School Crew is a small group of 8-10 students, designed to foster deeper engagement among students through meaningful discussions, spiritual growth, and building strong connections with one another. Led by a faculty or staff member, the group provides a supportive environment where students can ask questions, explore their faith, and develop deeper relationships with both their peers and nurture their relationship with God.

Upper School Chapel

Orangewood Christian exists because Jesus calls people into his family of faith. This shared bond as brothers and sisters in Christ shapes every aspect of our school community. Chapel is an important aspect of growing students in their faith. The chapel theme for the 2024-25 school year is Jesus Is.... An exploration of the character and attributes of Jesus and how we can follow Him.

Spiritual Emphasis Week

Spiritual Emphasis Week takes place the week leading into Easter Sunday, with upper and lower school students participating in multiple chapels, prayer and worship services, Serve Day for Upper School, break-out sessions, team-building activities, and times of reflection. These days will be entirely focused on the spiritual development of our students.

Student Led Meditation Chapel

Students had the opportunity to reflect on what they had learned throughout the week led by the senior Chaplain.

Beginning in the earliest of grades, students attend weekly chapels or small groups and are taught daily Bible lessons on an age-appropriate level. As students mature, additional academic opportunities exist to challenge them in their faith and to help them grow in their wisdom and understanding of who God is and what His plan is for them.
