Spiritual Life

Upper School Crew is a small group of 8-10 students, designed to foster deeper engagement among students through meaningful discussions, spiritual growth, and building strong  connections with one another. Led by a faculty or staff member, the group provides a supportive environment where students can ask questions, explore their faith, and develop deeper relationships with both their peers and nurture their relationship with God. 

Orangewood Christian exists because Jesus calls people into his family of faith. This shared bond as brothers and sisters in Christ shapes every aspect of our school community.   Chapel is an important aspect of growing students in their faith.  The chapel theme for the 2025-26 school year is Rooted.... Roots matter—they keep us steady and they bring life. In the fall semester, we’ll dig into what it means to be rooted in God—how to grow deep and stay connected to Him. Then in the spring, we’ll flip the focus to what we’re rooted for—the life that grows out of us when our roots are strong in Him.

A healthy spiritual life is an ongoing rhythm of connecting with God. To help build these rhythms in their spiritual lives, our upper school students step away from their regular classes once a quarter for a Spiritual Emphasis Day. These days are set apart to give our students opportunities to slow down and connect with God through worship, prayer, reflection, service, and other spiritual practices.
