Get ready to mix, bubble, and discover in the Mad Scientist Club! Designed for curious minds in 2nd through 6th grade, this hands-on program brings science to life through exciting experiments, creative challenges, and mind-blowing discoveries.

Each week, students will explore different areas of science—like chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering—while making slime, building cool contraptions, launching mini rockets, and more. Along the way, they’ll learn how to think like real scientists by asking questions, testing ideas, and solving problems.

Chapel Singers are back! This student worship team meets weekly on Tuesday afternoons in Mrs. Gurley room (C211) to learn upbeat worship songs, build confidence on stage, and grow in faith — all while having a blast with friends.

Students will:

• Sing and learn simple harmonies
• Develop stage presence
• Read Scripture and help lead chapel
• Worship together in a fun, encouraging environment
• Lead worship at OCS LS all-school chapels dates

Sociedad Honoraria de Español Elemental

Join us as we celebrate the beauty, language, music, and traditions of the Hispanic world through performance, creativity, and culture! Students in this special club will participate in the Sociedad Hispánica de Amistad (SHA), an elementary Spanish honor society affiliated with the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP), while preparing for Orangewood Christian School’s school-wide Hispanic Heritage Celebration.

Club members will perform during the school-wide Hispanic Heritage Day presentation as part of our Hispanic Heritage celebration program.

Club members will:

• Learn songs, dances, and simple Spanish performance pieces
• Explore Hispanic countries, traditions, and cultural projects
• Build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills
• Represent the Spanish program during the Hispanic Heritage Day celebration
• Participate in a special induction ceremony
• Receive an official club T-shirt and certificate

Joyful Moves is a  Zumba-inspired after-school dance club for K-4th grade students! This fun, high-energy program gives children a chance to stay active, build confidence, and express themselves through movement—all while dancing to uplifting, inspirational music in a positive and encouraging environment.

Get ready for an after-school adventure! In our Super Mario Adventure Club, students will “level up” each week through exciting games, creative challenges, obstacle courses, and team missions inspired by the Mushroom Kingdom.

Along the way, we’ll connect our fun to meaningful biblical truths—like perseverance, teamwork, courage, and trusting God in every challenge. Kids will build friendships, grow in character, and use their imagination as they earn coins and unlock fun “power-ups.”

Paper Engineering Club is where creativity meets construction! Students will take on fun, hands-on challenges using just paper and simple materials. We will be building everything from paper airplanes to strong structures, origami, pop-up cards, and imaginative creations. Each week brings a new challenge that encourages problem-solving, creativity, and a little bit of trial-and-error fun. Get ready to fold, build, test, and create in ways you never thought paper could do!

Basketball Skills Club will be held during first quarter on Fridays from 2:50 PM–3:30 PM, running from August 21 – October 2.

The club is led by Upper School Boys and Girls Head Basketball Coaches, Ian McVay and Todd Chamberlain. This is a great opportunity for students to develop fundamental basketball skills, improve their game, and learn from experienced coaches.
