Mrs. Meagan Matheny was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a proud graduate of Auburn University, where she earned her degree in Special Education and Mathematics, and later continued her academic journey by earning a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. For 13 years, Meagan inspired students as a middle school math teacher in the traditional school setting and at Florida Virtual School. In 2011, she married her husband, Kyle, and together they have two children—daughter McKynzie and son Parker. Meagan finds joy in cheering on McKynzie at volleyball matches and Parker during his basketball and baseball games. She is also an avid college football fan (War Eagle!) and enjoys playing tennis, vacationing in the Bahamas, and spending quality time with her family. Before stepping into her current position as Development Coordinator, Meagan served as the Lower School Coordinator and was a dedicated substitute teacher at Orangewood. She considers Orangewood a true blessing and the perfect fit for her family.

Orangewood Alumni Association

In 2024, we introduced an Orangewood Alumni Association to strengthen graduate relationships and to help support the work of the school.

The association’s goal is to foster deeper connections between alumni, current students and families, and the school. Through the association, we’re hopeful to provide a wider range of opportunities for alumni to stay connected to Orangewood Christian by participating in career networking, social gatherings, athletics and fine arts events, reunions, and financially supporting the work of the school. We hope the information here helps you stay connected with your classmates and the school.
