Box Tops for Education Program

Most of you are probably familiar with the Box Tops for Education program we've had going for several years in the lower school. You clip Box Tops from General Mills products, send them to school and Orangewood receives 10 cents for each one! We are now going to collect in the middle school!

Each homeroom in the 7th and 8th grade will collect Box Tops. The class getting the most Box Tops will receive a pizza party or other incentive at the end of each semester! The lower school will still be collecting as well, so if your student has siblings that want to give there, please feel free! You may start sending Box Tops in immediately!  Please email Beth Lu at bethlu@cfl.rr.com with any questions. Thank you!!

Fall Book Fair

Get ready for this year’s Christian Book Fair coming to our school September 26th – 30th in the lower school Media Center! There will be something for everyone at this event—from preschool through adult—biographies, novels, videos, coloring and activity books, self-help and parenting books and much more!

The first days will be “looking days” for the students. As each class visits the book fair, the students will complete a book wish list to take home to their parents. September 29th – 30th are “buying days”. Send the book list and a check made payable to Sonshine Harbor Books (please remember to include 6.5% sales tax) to school with your child on any buying day. Parents are welcome to visit the library to buy books any day between 8:00 and 4:30. Remember, our school receives 50% of the Sonshine Harbor Book Fair sales for our library. What better way to get good reading materials to improve your child’s reading skills and contribute to our library at the same time.

Box Tops for Education Program

The OCS lower school is once again participating the the Box Tops for education program.  Our goal this year is to raise $2000+ from box tops for playground equipment.

Up to 15 eBoxTops™ per $10 spent on qualifying purchases is automatically donated to our school.  Over 100 participating retailers give eBoxTops to our school with every qualified purchase you make online. Click on any store's logo at the Marketplace, make a purchase on their website as you normally would, and eBoxTops will be credited to our school's earnings. When you do this, you'll become a Box Tops Online Power Earner. As an Online Power Earner, you will receive 10 Bonus Box Tops for every 100 eBoxTops you earn. Don't miss out on this online bonus earning opportunity for our school! Make sure you bookmark the Marketplace and go back every time you want to shop online."
