Important Information for 2017-18 School Year

Activity Fee

Billing to your RenWeb account for the annual Activity Fee (per student) will take place in September (one-half of the total Activity Fee) and October (remaining Activity Fee balance).

Athletic Paperwork- Link
Students must have a current physical form on file to try-out or participate in OCS athletics. Once the paperwork is completed, it must be returned to the athletic office so that your child is cleared to participate. Please note: These are the only forms accepted by the FHSAA. Any student playing a Fall sport must have their physical packet turned in to the athletic office by July 14. If physicals are turned in after this date, a $50 fine will be assessed.
Mandatory Concussion Baseline Testing | June 26-July 31 | Every Monday at 10:00am, 10:45am and 11:30am & every Wednesday at 2:00pm, 2:45pm and 3:30pm in the High School Computer Lab.
*Sign Up Genius will be emailed out soon from the Athletic Department* Orangewood requires concussion baseline testing prior to participation including:
  • all Middle School Football players and any Middle School athlete playing at the high school level
  • all incoming Freshmen
  • all incoming Juniors
  • Freshmen, JV or Varsity athletes new to the school with plans on trying out for a sports team/program.
  • Sports included: football, volleyball, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, baseball.
*Note - Any Middle School student is welcome to take the baseline test, but only Middle School football and those playing at the High School level are required to baseline test.

Class T-shirts: Link

ALL Middle School students receive one class t-shirt. The cost of the t-shirt is included in the Activity Fee. These shirts will be ordered over the summer so that they will be received in time to wear to our Middle School Retreat on Friday, August 18. Please click on the link to order the shirt(s) for your student(s) as soon as possible. You will need to create a Google account (if you don't already have one) to access the form. This account can be under the name of the student (returning students can use their OCS Rams e-mail) or parent.

We have included the dress code for each school per parent requests that have students in multiple level grades.

Immunization Requirements for 2017-2018: Link

ALL 7th grade students are required to have one dose of tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) vaccine to begin the school year. Please send updated immunization records to the Middle School office prior to the first day of school.

Medication Release Form: Link 

Many times we are asked for Tylenol, aspirin etc., we cannot give this to students unless we have a signed authorization form from your child’s physician. Please send the completed form and the original bottle of medication to the Middle School Office in order for us to administer to your child during the school day.

New Student and New Parent Luncheon | Tuesday, August 8 at 12:00pm in Upper School Classrooms 260/261

OCS welcomes students and parents new to Orangewood for a special get-acquainted luncheon where they'll have the chance to meet some of our current OCS students, receive important and helpful information about OCS, and ask any questions they may have before the school year begins. New families - please save this date and look for additional information later this summer!
