
It continues to be our privilege to partner with you as you do the hard work of growing your children toward their particular call in God’s kingdom. We also find great comfort in the encouragements and promises of Scripture. In particular, we cling to the understanding that as we join together (church, school, home), we do our best work in raising young students. (“And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12)
To that end, we would like to continue the conversation regarding the recent Netflix release of the new show, 13 Reasons Why. Several weeks ago, both the weekly newsletter and our Facebook page posted some cautions about this series and we added links as an additional resource for your family. Last Sunday, May 7th, Netflix announced that it will release season 2 - date has yet not to be confirmed. In short, our concerns have not lessened. And we are not alone, as many schools across the country have asked parents to wisely guide their children as it relates to the viewing and processing of this show and its themes.
