HopeFest Week Coming Soon | December 2nd - December 6th

OCS High School, led by student government, is partnering with Orangewood Church to collect and donate new sneakers, sandals & flip-flops and adult size indoor soccer shoes (no cleats) for the children of Casa Hogar in Acapulco, Mexico for this Christmas season. 

Class boxes will be located in the upstairs main hallway for donations to be dropped off.

NHS Tutoring Center 

The National Honor Society tutoring center is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45pm to 4:00pm.  The tutoring center will not be open on days when there is no school or when there is a half day. The center is located in Mr. Lawrence's room,153.

Service Hours Requirements and Form | Link

If your student logged service hours during the summer, please have them complete the form in order to get credit for them.

Please make note that the community service hours have increased to more closely align with the State of  Florida's requirement for the Bright Futures Scholarship.

 

Volunteers:

We LOVE parent volunteers!  Please contact the High School Office or Michelle Denney via email at mdenney6@gmail.com  for ways to help and get plugged in.

In order to volunteer at Orangewood, you must be fingerprinted and have a background check completed. See link for instructions.  

 

Orangewood Christian School PTF is looking for parents to help celebrate our staff on their birthdays or ½ birthdays.

Please pay special attention to birthdays that have passed and if you would like to still celebrate that staff member please contact them as soon as possible to let them know you will be celebrating their special day.

We are in need of two parents to help with snack and donut sales during the morning break.  They would oversee and assist the students with sales and collection of money. You will need to arrive a few minutes early in order to set up and be ready for when the students come into the cafeteria for their break.

Moms in Prayer | Every Tuesday | Conference Room 

Please join our Moms in Prayer to pray for our children and school every Tuesday morning from 8:00-9:00am.

How is the prayer time run? We have a list of prayer requests. We follow the "ACTS" pattern - Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication (Intercession).
