Alumni Highlights

We are so proud of a couple of our Alumni (class of 2001), Emily Mattingly Fraser and Katie Meier Mohr, that went out to "Chalk the Walk" on Park Ave on Saturday, November 7. These two amazingly talented girls won the adult Award of Excellence and Best in Show! After a 15 year hiatus they still have it!

Class of 2014 alumnus, Forrest Wall, signed with the Colorado Rockies last summer to play professional baseball. Forrest is excelling in his new role and has continued to move up and hit extremely well despite the challenges of playing at a higher level. Forrest recently recorded his first mult-home run game at the single A level and even mentioned Orangewood in a recent interview. Click here for the full story.

Class of 2011 graduate, Christina Schloot, is leaving this September for an 11 month mission trip called the World Race. Christina will travel to a new country each month ministering to the poor and needy. To follow her travels and read about her experiences visit her blog . Christina has been planning to do the World Race since her time at Orangewood and has always had a heart for missions around the world! Christina will also be graduating from Ole Miss in June 2015.

Congrats to one of our alumni, Alex McClanahan, on winning the NCAA Division II National Championship with his Florida Southern team on March 29th against Indiana Univ. of Pennsylvania (77-62)! This is the second national championship for the Florida Southern Moccasins and it was definitely a night this team will always remember.

As always, we love that we can keep cheering our RAMS on! Congratulations to the entire Florida Southern athletic program!

Michael Clark, Class of 2003, recently completed his first book on Retirement Settings. In his new book, Michael very cleverly uses examples from every day life and examines how they correlate to finances. As a Certified Financial Planner in Orlando, Florida with 8 years of experience, Michael has been recently quoted in Forbes, US News and World report, CFO magazine, Huffington post, the local Orlando newspaper, and a few financial blogs. Congratulations on a wonderful accomplishment, Michael!
